HISTORY

In the fall of 2020, three members went on a ride to the Big Bend area in west Texas.  It was then proposed to form a riding club.  Those members were Mike Garrett, Mike Powell and Kelly Daniels.

The 515 Riders motorcycle club was formed in 2021 by a group of riders who are current federal employees and contractors.  We enjoy riding the roads less traveled and the fellowship.  The club's inaugural ride was to Nancy's Steak House in Columbus, Texas.  Those in attendance on that first ride were Mike Garrett, Vic Midyett, John Lynch and Mike Powell. 

The Rick Chapman Send-Off Ride

Brother Rick Chapman, a CSO in Houston, has accepted a position as a CSO in the south Florida area.  Rick and his family are moving soon to be closer to daughters who are attending college nearby.  We want to tell Rick and his family they will be missed.   On Saturday, May 3rd. we gathered to give Rick a final ride with the 515 Riders.  We started on our way to Galveston to the Shrimp N Stuff restaurant where many half-truths and outright embellishment of riding stories were heard.  All in all I would say most of the conversations were true.  After enjoying lunch, we ventured down the Bluewater Highway to Surfside, Tx. to enjoy libation at Sharkies On The Beach.  Those attending were Rick Chapman, (Dennis Oian and Randy Marshall) who are with the Blue Knights LEMC, Bruce Rhodes, Gilbert, Vic Midyett, and self.  We wish Rick and Melissa well on their new adventure.
